by Norhaznita Husin
The yearly average for export of Malaysian palm products to Brazil for the last few years was about 73,000 tonnes. The total export grew at a very stable path of 4% annually. Palm kernel oil and oleochemical were the main products being shipped to Brazil. Poor exports for RBD Palm Stearin, RBD Palm Olein and NBD Palm Olein in the recent years (2011 to 2014) have severely affected the overall export performance of palm oil. Nevertheless, for January to November this year, the total export has grown compared to the same period of last year. Palm oil, palm kernel oil and oleochemical are the main features of the export volumes with palm oil playing a major role for the positive impact. Export of palm oil has finally recovered with a tremendous incremental percentage .

After going through a slow-moving performance since the beginning of 2012 which led to an extreme decline from the previous year, Malaysian palm oil has finally recovered and expanded rapidly.
