China bakery industry started relative late, and there was no bakery industry until 1980. From 1990 to 2000, as foreign enterprises gradually set up factories in China, the earliest batch of bakery brands began to appear, such as Mankattan. After 2000, Western food culture has continuously penetrated China, and the bakery industry has entered a period of rapid development. From 2013 to 2018, China annual bakery output showed fluctuating growth. In 2018, China total value of bakery outlets reached RMB5.51 billion, an increase of 4.66% over 2017. |
